XBOX 360 Product Brochure

I cherished my XBOX 360. Up until the point someone broke into my house and stole it. Now I miss it a lot. It’s as if I had just gotten dumped by a girlfriend after years in a awesome relationship. Enough about my problems though, this project came to be during my photography class. This brochure was the final project, in which we had to pick a product and shoot it for a catalog.

I lost the sketches for this one but it turned out pretty much like I had pictured in my mind. After snapping the photos and editing them in Photoshop I Brought them into Illustrator in order to include those illustrated design elements on both sides of the cover.

I wanted to keep the clean look XBOX 360 had going, but with some fun elements since it’s supposed to be a fun video-game. The information is also clearly displayed.

Although there are vector made design elements I focused more on the product. Trying to display it in different angles, so that the viewer really appreciate the aesthetic beauty of the product without even have it plugged in. The designers at Microsoft really did a good job in designing this video-game. They described it as the point before an explosion, before all the energy is released. Like a fighter breathing in before he threw a devastating punch. So I made sure to capture that.


It was a very fun project. I got to play photographer, and actually got some decent shots. I don’t think Microsoft would have to much of a problem running this brochure around in electronic stores and conventions. I know that when I’m hired, who ever I work for won’t have to be terribly worried when there are no photographers available on a tight dead-line.
